A Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party has asked UTAG members where they expect the government to get additional GHS1 billion Ghana cedis for its 2022 budget.
The Road and Transport Committee Chairman and MP for Akim Swedru constituency, Hon. Kennedy Nyarkoh Osei asked in a reply to a Lecturer who commented under his [Hon. Osei Nyarkoh] Facebook post.
In the Facebook post, the Honourable MP was explaining and defending the most controversial Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy).
Hon. Kennedy Nyarkoh Osei in a reply to Richard Apau, an adjunct lecturer at KNUST and Academic City College, who was citing how badly politicians spend the taxpayer’s money, said “Richard Apau you and your UTAG are here asking Government for an additional expenditure of about 1 billion where do you want the Government to get it from?”
