The 2021 Teacher Prize launched today at NAGRAT Lyceum, Accra. Rev. Ntim Fordjour, Deputy Education Minister who launched the program on behalf of the education minister, Hon. Yaw Adutwum, said this is to recognize how paramount teachers contribution to the socio-economic development of the nation is.
He also explained that the award system was done through a transparent and fair system and it has been the trend since 1995 which they are ready to protect it to always allow fair awards to deserved teachers.
“On behalf of the Minister for Education, Hon Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, I launched 2021 Ghana Teacher Prize today at NAGRAT Lyceum in Accra. With a deep sense of pride, we recognise the essential contribution of members of our noble profession to the socio-economic development of our country. A transparent, fair and meritorious system of awarding our most outstanding teachers since 1995 is worth sustaining. The government of HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will sustain its commitment to the welfare and motivation of teachers.”, he stated.
