GES gets monetary freedom to enroll more than 16,000 teachers.

The Finance Ministry has given freedom to the Education Minister to empower the Ghana Education Service (GES) to enroll 16,850 recently prepared.

An assertion endorsed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei-Asare, further asked, The Director-General of the GES is to guarantee that the recently prepared instructors have their archives handled on schedule and set on the automated finance sufficiently early to empower the Controller and Accountant-Generals Department impact installment of their pay rates.

The Controller and Accountant-General is mentioned to impact the installment of pay rates of the recently prepared instructors and make suitable allowances of Social Security and Income Tax to SSNIT and the Domestic Tax Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) individually.

The monetary freedom will terminate toward the finish of December 31, 2022.

In September last year, the GES declared that it has started cycles to enroll 16,500 prepared instructors who finished schools of training in 2019.

The assistance, in mid 2020, enrolled 1,500 instructors in an extraordinary mop-up practice for prepared educators who finished their investigations in the 2017/18 scholastic year yet couldn’t be selected on account of difficulties with their archives.
