Do not be deceived by Mahama, there’s no hardship, NPP tells Ghanaians.
The ruling New Patriotic Party on Friday August 20, addressing the press on its new project, Agenda 111 and related issues, said Ghanaians should not pay attention to the former president John Mahama’s sayings that the economy is hard.
Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, the party’s Communications Director, said should Ghanaians be listening former president Mahama, they’ll see no positive change in the economy. He said the NPP can’t sit for JDM to poison the minds of Ghanaians that there’s hardship and high corruption cases.“
We are not frightened of John Mahama, we know he cannot manage the economy, so we can’t let him poison your minds because if you’re sitting your somewhere and they keep telling you ‘oh it is bad, Ghana is hard, there is corruption, Ghana is hard’. Then sometimes, you think it’s true. So we have to speak back,” he stated
He also said the NPP is not afraid of JDM because they no he has nothing good for Ghanaians and when given back power, will collapse the Free SHS, NHIS, decrease growth rate, increase inflation and take Ghana back to IMF.
Yaw Buabeng Asamoah explained that it’s due to Mahama’s fear of failure in the next election that he’s fueling this agenda. He said the NDC fears the Agenda 111 when succeeded will make them loose the next election.
“For open political purposes founded on the spirit of non-performance and incompetence, the NDC wants an initiative that is set to benefit millions of Ghanaians stopped just because it threatens their assumptions of the 2024 election. The NDC sees Agenda 111 as a game changer to defeat their archaic model of regime change every eight years. They are afraid we will break the eight. Agenda 111 complements major reforms in the health sector”,he said.
