Ama Benyiwaa Doe passes away. Former Central Regional minister and member of parliament for Gomoa West Constituency,Hon. Comfort Saah pronounced dead.

The sad news was confirmed by an internal source that she passed away at Tema this morning, September 19,2021. Ama Benyiwaa Doe was a founding member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC)

The former MP and Regional Minister,was popularly known as Ama Benyiwaa Doe but Christened as Comfort Saah was born in the year 1950 in the Gomoa West, Central Region of Ghana.

On the ticket to of NDC,she served as member of parliament to the Gomoa West Constituency for the third parliament of the fourth republic.

Ama Benyiwaa served as MP from 1992 and was defeated by Joe Kingsley Hackman of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2004.

Before her nomination as a Central Regional Minister by the John Fifii Atta-Mills administration in 2009, she was the National Women’s Organizer for her beloved party, NDC

She suddenly went behind scenes following the death of the late president Atta-Mills, though Ama used to share her opinion publicly on national issues. She was a social justice and public outspoken woman, that was what she known for.
